Enrique Morente’s debut, ‘Suena La Alhambra’, does not fit easily into one genre. nine years ago, Enrique Morente briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Generalife”. This disc has all of the essential Enrique Morente classics. This is my first Enrique Morente Album and i must say i am blown away.
Enrique Morente offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Suena La Alhambra. Musically Chiquil N De Bach N is superior to other tracks in Suena La Alhambra. Music and lyrics of Solea De La Ciencia creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. In La Alhambra Lloraba it becomes nowhere more obvious that Enrique Morente has yet to define own style. Only one song from Suena La Alhambra named Donde Habite El Olvido really got me. Taranto Veneno is the most memorable and excellent. La Ultima Carta is a fine track on any terms.
