Lead single “Sol No Regresa” and “Mentiras” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Diana Reyes was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Diana Reyes and La Reina del Pasito Duranguense together. eleven years ago, Diana Reyes briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Mentiras”. I wish that “La Reina del Pasito Duranguense” album was instrumental.
I think Mentiras is the best song Diana Reyes has ever done. I like the agression and power of Se Fue. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Tu Gaban is a cool song and it grows on you. Me Mintio is the excellent blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Celos is one of the best records ever. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Se Como Suele (2:57) a good melody. Mi Ranchito gets you up and jumping.
