The Pink Panther isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Lead single “Main Titles” and “Perfect Day For A Murder” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Christophe Beck had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Perfect Day For A Murder
I like to sing along with Perfect Day For A Murder, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. The Damburger Incident is the most memorable and perfect. Dreyfus In Charge gives taste of what makes Christophe Beck special as a musician. I was truly moved when I heard Paris Bound. Within the first few notes of The Airport it’s perfectly clear that Christophe Beck is living this song. In Helping Nicole Get Off it becomes nowhere more obvious that Christophe Beck has yet to define own style. The Area Is Secure is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Pierre Phouquette - A nice song. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Flesh Mask. Pinch A Finger is pretty funky and mellow. A Farewell To Ponton - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. The song Vitamin V ending is my favorite… so catchy! When listening to Clouseaus Lament, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Chasing Yuri as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. In Waldorf Astoria Arrival the music gets its power. The Ring - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Dragalong Dreyfus is a very catchy tune. Christophe Beck breathes new life into the music in End Titles. When I listen to Pink Panther Theme in my car when traffic ain’t going so good.
