Devin The Dude had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Lead single “Lies” and “Sunday 3AM” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This album is a scorcher!
Sunday 3AM is perfect. Teddy Bear is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Devin The Dude sings Selfish Guy in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. I find myself hearing bits of Mary here and there throughout my waking hours. When listening to I am on the Run, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Devin The Dude has astounded me with this amazing track. Devin The Dude sings his heart out in Kiss Me. Dawn is one of the coolest songs Devin The Dude has ever recorded. In Mister Police Devin The Dude is at his best. Bastards without a doubt is the standout song of Specially for You. Specially for You - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody.
