It has been sixteen years Devin The Dude’ last studio CD, “Weed Wine and Women” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Devin The Dude’s debut, ‘Weed Wine and Women’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album has some very good songs like Yo Ho and Cock Hounds. If I may, I suggest “Yo Ho”. That one song is amazing!
Cock Hounds has a fun tempo. Something like a pimp - a classic song. Toast To The Pussy motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Fucking My High is worth the money. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Beautiful Crazy is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Charming song, great melody. Strange is a bit different from Devin The Dude stereotypical stuff. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Deez Bitches from the beginning to the end. From the moment you listen to Pussy you’re hooked. All of songs on Weed Wine and Women and have something to say letting alone Porno Bitches. I can’t stop humming along Choosey. Black eyed peas - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Devin The Dude. A fantastic track full of wonder. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. The opening track Payin’ for Pussy is very much like you would expect from other albums. Like Some Hoes is a excellent, simple song by Devin The Dude at the top of his game.
