IF YOU LIKE ALL Celina y Reutilio’S SONG GO FOR IT! Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Celina y Reutilio on ‘Agua Pa’mi’. Lead single “Agua Pa’mi” and “Guajiro Del Monte” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. To me Celina y Reutilio is the best band ever.
I was truly moved when I heard Guajiro Del Monte. Celina y Reutilio breathes new life into the music in Popurri Celina. Although La Loma Del Tamarindo is very melodic it is far from sad. Tumba La Cana is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Son Para Un Cubano is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. One listen to the sheer beauty of El Carretero was all I needed. Madrigal Guajiro is the amazing blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. This track is full of harmonies and gets Que Bueno Baila Celina off to a relaxing start. Alborada Guajira (4:00) a good melody. Celina y Reutilio allows each song to breathe and flourish. Decimas A Sol Y Ron has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Que Bueno Baila Celina. Cubita La Bella is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Los Celos De Mi Compay is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Strong, powerful vocals of Celina y Reutilio in Triste Muy Triste are very impressive. El Encanto De Tu Boca is one of my favorite songs by Celina y Reutilio. Una Gota De Clemencia is the albums biggest surprise. Nice and different song.
