This disc has all of the essential South Central Cartel classics. Bun B. Hear has compared writing for South Central Cartel’s new album to that on ‘Gangsta Conversation’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. South Central Cartel was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from South Central Cartel and Gangsta Conversation together. I wish that “Gangsta Conversation” album was instrumental.
Crucial is a bit of a show-tune. Pretty Bitch great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Still Saggin’ - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of South Central Cartel. Mucho Ye’llo is one of these floating songs. My N.I.G.G.A.Z. can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what South Central Cartel is all about. I hope to keep hearing South Central Cartel works for a long time to come. Dirty South Central is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I loved Slumped Out the first time I heard it. Rap Nigga one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. I love the melodic melody of Bacc Yard and to this day it makes me feel good. Low-Low - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. 1/2 Ass Geez is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Thug Disease - C-BO, South Central Cartel, Spice 1 is probably the most interesting track on Gangsta Conversation. Pussy Don’t Pay Bills - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Get Your Hands Out of My Pockets is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. South Central Cartel has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving.
