Self-described as New Age with lots of words, Soul Ballet comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This eleven-song debut EP shows the promise that Soul Ballet has. There is so much to love about Soul Ballet, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Smart music for smart people.
You have to get essence of the Exotique’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. The Revolution which is my favorite is a truly Soul Ballet sounding song. What sets Make The Music Louder apart is Soul Ballet’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Blu Girl has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Am I Close Enough is Soul Ballet’s best work in years. Pretty Lights is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Nyc Trippin’ is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Monique Slept Here is a bit of a show-tune.
