For older fans Superstar will put a massive smile accross your face. This disc has all of the essential Tom Novy classics. Tom Novy’s debut, ‘Superstar’, does not fit easily into one genre. Tom Novy is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Take It as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. I believe Your Body is one of the most perfect, heartfelt songs ever written. Back To The Streets catches attention immediately, After you’ve listened to Sweety, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Without Your Love (3:46) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Music Is Wonderfull is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. My House is a excellent sing-along. After about the third Unexpected listen through, I began to believe this song is Tom Novy’s essence. Police And Thieves is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Lyrics of It’s Over are precise and evocative. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. I find myself hearing bits of Bonustrack I Rock here and there throughout my waking hours. Bonustrack Now Or Never is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined.
