IF YOU LIKE ALL M Ward’S SONG GO FOR IT! M Ward’s debut, ‘Post War’, does not fit easily into one genre. Since M Ward last CD (Post War) on Mute Records back in 2006, I have felt a massive void in my life. I wish that “Post War” album was instrumental.
To Go Home is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Right In The Head one is one of the better boring ones. Post War - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Requiem - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Chinese Translation had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Eyes On The Prize still maintains something of a specific flourish. Magic Trick is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Neptune’s Net was the first single release from the album Post War. The sound of Rollercoaster is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Afterword/Rag - This one is lively and fun.
