This disc has all of the essential El Presidente classics. For older fans El Presidente will put a massive smile accross your face. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for El Presidente’s new album to that on ‘El Presidente’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
El Presidente breathes new life into the music in Rocket. Within the first few notes of 100Mph it’s perfectly clear that El Presidente is living this song. Turn This Thing Around is exquisite work of El Presidente. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. In If You Say You Love Me it becomes nowhere more obvious that El Presidente has yet to define own style. I love the melodic melody of Hanging Around and to this day it makes me feel good. I Didn’t Really still maintains something of a specific flourish. Old Times marked the continuation of El Presidente in style evolution. One listen to the sheer beauty of Keep On Walking was all I needed. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of El Presidente. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion.
