There is so much to love about The Rippingtons, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Rippingtons energies, virtually a rebirth. Let It Ripp isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is what good Jazz should be.
Mr. 3 is a very catchy tune. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Lucky Charm, which shows, blatantly, how much The Rippingtons has evolved as a singer. Private Getaway - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. High Life one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of The Rippingtons. Opening track Bella Luna shows the best of The Rippingtons. Stingray is really a nice song to relax and listen too. 17 Mile Drive can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what The Rippingtons is all about. Cast A Spell - A catchy, upbeat tune. Get Over It is the albums biggest surprise.
