I am not a real Rock: Pop-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Taylor Hicks’ really is amazing. On the Australia charts, superstar Taylor Hicks’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Self-described as Rock: Pop-Rock with lots of words, Taylor Hicks comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Taylor Hicks ever.
Give Me Tonight is the first taste of the new album. When I listen to Gonna Move in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Heaven Knows is the albums biggest surprise. Just To Feel That Way is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. What sets Places I’ve Been apart is Taylor Hicks’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Soul Thing - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. I can’t stop playing The Deal. The Maze is one of the coolest songs Taylor Hicks has ever recorded. The Right Place is a marvelous sing-along. The Runaround presents the excellent mix of instruments on Taylor Hicks. Some call Wherever I Lay My Hat from Taylor Hicks as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.
