fourteen years ago, Krieg briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Deviant”. This album has some very good songs like Deconstructing the Eternal Tombs and Deviant. John Digester has compared writing for Krieg’s new album to that on ‘The Black House’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Check it every song is worth the money for the The Black House CD!
Krieg is one of artists that allow his songs like Deviant to stand on their own and be heard. Nemesis is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. The sound in Fleshprison Monolith is really warm and Krieg’s signature voice is still very much present. A great put together song. A Process of Dying is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. The song feels complete. A fantastic track full of wonder. Without Light pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Venus In Furs is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Rooms is outstanding work of Krieg.
