Self-described as Metal with lots of words, Insomnium comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. After seeing The Gale, I had to have a good Insomnium cd. Lead single “The Gale” and “Mortal Share” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Enjoy the show.
Insomnium is hitting on all cylinders in Mortal Share. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Change Of Heart stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. At The Gates Of Sleep is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. The Killjoy is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Last Statement - I like this one. This song stands out greatly from the others. Insomnium emotions are reflected through In The Groves Of Death.
