While no new Electric Boys album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2004 tour in Africa. It has been five years Electric Boys’ last studio CD, “Groovus Maximus” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is one of the best Cd’s Electric Boys has dropped to date. Groovus Maximus is not something you should pass up.
When listening to Knee Deep In You, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. This track is clearly meant to showcase Electric Boys’s vocal abilities. I can’t stop humming along Fire In The House. The Sky Is Crying - For me, this is the best of the album. I like to sing along with Bed Of Roses, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. She’s Into Something Heavy gives taste of what makes Electric Boys special as a musician. Dying To Be Loved is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. When Love Explodes gives good insight into the truths. Tambourine can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Electric Boys is all about. Tear It Up is the album’s biggest hit, I think. March Of The Spirits - another great track from the Groovus Maximus album. A unique and uplifting song. Love’s Kickin’ In is another favourite of mine. Album opener Why Don’t We Do It In The Road is a bright, upbeat ditty. Space Jam - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
