When you buy a Edith Frost album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Edith Frost was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Edith Frost and Demos together. Edith Frost’s debut, ‘Demos’, does not fit easily into one genre. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
I can’t stop humming along Cars and Parties. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. On Hold on Demos is solid and easy to listen to. One-Chord Complaint defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Dreamers is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This is probably my favorite song on the album. After few listenings I started to like Pony Song more and more. Wonder Wonder is one of the best records ever. (I Get The) Craziest Feeling is one of the more up-tempo songs on Demos. In Look What Thoughts Will Do it becomes nowhere more obvious that Edith Frost has yet to define own style.
