Music and lyrics of Red Right Hand creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Best of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds is Straight To You. Tupelo is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds ever produced. I find myself hearing bits of Nobody’s Baby Now here and there throughout my waking hours. Stranger Than Kindness to me is the best you can get from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Into My Arms is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. (Are You) The One That I’ve Been Waiting For? is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. The Carny - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Do You Love Me? is a bit of a show-tune. If you are a Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds fan, you will love The Mercy Seat. After you’ve listened to Henry Lee, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. The Weeping Song - A nice song. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds breathes new life into the music in The Ship Song. Where The Wild Roses Grow is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds is hitting on all cylinders in From Her To Eternity.
