It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Calle 13 energies, virtually a rebirth. eight years ago, Calle 13 briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Suave”. There is so much to love about Calle 13, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. I wish that “Calle 13″ album was instrumental.
Voice of Calle 13 in Suave is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. In Aguacatona - Calle 13 Calle 13 is at his best. Vocals of Calle 13 in Se Vale To-To really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Ayala (Intel-L is a fine track on any terms. Tengo Hambre is one of the best records ever. The opening track Hormiga Brava is very much like you would expect from other albums. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Calle 13 is Jirafa. Calle 13 is one of artists that allow his songs like Comemielda (Intel-L to stand on their own and be heard. Atrte Te, Te! still maintains something of a specific flourish. Pi-Di-Di-Di is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Puffy Hablando (Intel-L because the melody in the chorus is so good. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Music and lyrics of Elrico creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Tripleta is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. In Madre de los Enanos the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
