Self-described as Trance: Psychedelic with lots of words, Diamanda Galas comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. eleven years ago, Diamanda Galas briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “My World Is Empty Without You”. Ivan Grach has compared writing for Diamanda Galas’s new album to that on ‘La Serpenta Canta (CD 2)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Such great and happy songs.
My World Is Empty Without You is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. I Put A Spell On You - another great track from the La Serpenta Canta (CD 2) album. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is At The Dark End Of The Street. Music and lyrics of Dancing In The Dark creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Charming song, great melody. Diamanda Galas sings his heart out in Burning Hell (Reprise).
