The Irish Album CD2 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. I am not a real Classical music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Irish Album CD2′ really is amazing. When you buy a Daniel O’Donnell album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This album is in perfect progression from Daniel O’Donnell!
Lyrics of Dear Old Galway Town are precise and evocative. Home to Donegal very upbeat. Limerick You’re a Lady gives taste of what makes Daniel O’Donnell special as a musician. It’s such an underrated song. Music of Pat Murphy’s Meadow is gentle, never overbearing. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Roads of Kildare. Green Hills of Sligo which is my favorite is a truly Daniel O’Donnell sounding song. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Irish Album CD2 is Rose of Mooncoin. I listened to the opening track These Are My Mountains and liked it a lot. Your Friendly Irish Way is nothing but pure genius.
