This is one of the best Cd’s We Are Scientists has dropped to date. With Love and Squalor isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that We Are Scientists has. With Love and Squalor is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
This Scene Is Dead sets the tone for the entire album. Inaction is astounding. Can’t Lose is possibly the best song We Are Scientists has come up. Callbacks is perfect. Cash Cow is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. The Great Escape is probably one of We Are Scientists’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. I like Textbook because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Lousy Reputation - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Worth The Wait (2:43) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Awesome song is really all that you can say about it.
