I am not a real Ambient music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Past Is Prologue’ really is amazing. ‘Past Is Prologue’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Tycho. Tycho is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Sunrise Projector is a exquisite song and it grows on you. Dictaphone’s Lament is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Tycho has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Some call Send and Receive from Past Is Prologue as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Tycho. Opening track A Circular Reeducation shows the best of Tycho. Past Is Prologue is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. There is cool mix of music in The Disconnect. A Circular Reeducation (Dusty Brown Remix) one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Send and Receive (Chachi Jones Remix) is my favorite song on Past Is Prologue. Sunrise Projector (Nautilis Remix) as a highlight of Past Is Prologue contains a ton of exquisite melodies.
