Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Threshold on ‘Static (Alternative Version)’. Replica isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since Threshold last CD (Replica) on Sparrow Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album is a scorcher!
Endless Sea (Previously Unreleased) is a very catchy tune. Threshold offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Don’t judge Ground Control (Acoustic Version) on the first listening. The Latent Gene (Uncut Version) is one of the best records ever. Torn To Shreds (Previously Unreleased) rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Forever (Acoustic Version) one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Best song on the album, love it. Surface To Air (New Version) is simple, dignified and effective, Threshold refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Opium (Synthetic Remix) - A catchy, upbeat tune.
