This is one of the best Cd’s Jim Jones has dropped to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Jim Jones energies, virtually a rebirth. There is so much to love about Jim Jones, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Harlem Diary Of A Summer-RETAIL constantly brilliant.
I like Zeke Interlude because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Overall a nice softer song. Some of the arrangements found on Harlem Diary Of A Summer-RETAIL are surprisingly edgy. When I listen to What Is This in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Honey Dip (Feat. Juelz Santana, J.R. Writer and Latiff) is simply marvelous. Charming song, great melody. Lyrics of Penitentiary Chances (Feat. Hell Rell) are precise and evocative. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. I like to sing along with What You Drinkin’ On (Feat. P. Diddy, Paul Wall and Jha-Jha), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Harlem is a song to enjoy for years to come. This track is clearly meant to showcase Jim Jones’s vocal abilities. Summer Wit’ Miami (Feat. Trey Songz) I just LOVE this mix! In Love Wit’ A Thug (Feat. 40.Cal and Denise Weeks) is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Harlem Diary Of A Summer-RETAIL. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. There is perfect mix of music in Baby Girl (feat. Max B).
