Self-described as Ambient with lots of words, Nathan Fake comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It has been three years Nathan Fake’ last studio CD, “Drowning In A Sea Of Love” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. While no new Nathan Fake album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2006 tour in Africa. This is what good Ambient should be.
Grandfathered have really caught my ear and imagination. You have to get essence of the Charlies House’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Put Bumblechord into car stereo for your highway driving Superpositions has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Nathan Fake’s strong vocals come to the fore. I believe Bawsey is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written. The Sky Was Pink is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. You Are Here I just LOVE this mix! Vocals of Nathan Fake in Falmer really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Music of Long Sunny is gentle, never overbearing. Fell is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations.
