Guitarded carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Lead single “Allergic” and “Cross Cut Saw Blues” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Since Leslie West last CD (Guitarded) on ForeFront Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album is in perfect progression from Leslie West!
Leslie West has astounded me with this amazing track. Stormy Monday had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Hang Me Out To Dry - another great track from the Guitarded album. Simple and heartfelt closing track If Heartaches Were Nickels closes Guitarded on a high note. The Cell is a very catchy tune. Dragon Lady is the song that really did it for me. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Third Degree - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Old Brown Shoe catches attention immediately, Theme From An Imaginary Western is the more seemingly obscure song on Guitarded that bear up best to repeated listening.
