This is the first studio album from Jorn since bad diagnosis in 2006. ten years ago, Jorn briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Blacksong”. There is so much to love about Jorn, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Such great and happy songs.
Charming song, great melody. Vocals of Jorn in Stormcrow really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Only one song from The Duke named End Of Time really got me. I hope to keep hearing Jorn works for a long time to come. Voice and instruments in Burning Chains complement each other. From the moment you listen to After The Dying you’re hooked. Midnight Madness is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Some call Are You Ready from The Duke as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Starfire (5:27) a good melody.
