After debuting at No. 1 last week, Etta Jones’s album Don’t Go to Strangers falls to No. 2 with 512,000, a sales slide of 63%. Self-described as Vocal with lots of words, Etta Jones comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This eleven-song debut EP shows the promise that Etta Jones has. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Don’t Go To Strangers is perfect and different song. I hope to keep hearing Etta Jones works for a long time to come. Fine And Mellow one is one of the better boring ones. Where Or When (3:42) - awsome. If I Had You is a very catchy tune. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Etta Jones. Something To Remember You By is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Bye Bye Blackbird is a striking and quite long song. All The Way had me crying as I was able to relate so well.
