Since Patty Loveless last CD (Dreamin’ My Dreams) on SixSteps records back in 2005, I have felt a massive void in my life. two years ago, Patty Loveless briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Old Soul”. Patty Loveless’s debut, ‘Dreamin’ My Dreams’, does not fit easily into one genre. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Patty Loveless ever.
Put Old Soul into car stereo for your highway driving This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Nobody Here By That Name is excellent and different song. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Same Kind Of Crazy from the beginning to the end. After you’ve listened to Everything But The Words, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Although Dreaming My Dreams With You is very melodic it is far from sad. On The Verge Of Tears (3:15) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Never Ending Song Of Love is a great opener for Dreamin’ My Dreams. I came to like Big Chance. My Old Friend The Blues is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Listening to When I Reach The Place I’m Going you can hear that Patty Loveless has still amazing chemistry with band members.
