Self-described as Pop: Japan with lots of words, Chatmonchy comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Since completing 2006’s ‘Shangurira’, Chatmonchy fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. For older fans Shangurira will put a massive smile accross your face. If I may, I suggest “Shangurira”. That one song is amazing!
Chatmonchy sings Chiisana kirakira in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. A unique and uplifting song.
