Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Alvin Lee on ‘Let’s Boogie’. After seeing Let’s Boogie, I had to have a good Alvin Lee cd. This disc has all of the essential Alvin Lee classics. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Rock & Roll Girls stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. When listening to Take My Time, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. I loved Something’s Gonna Get You the first time I heard it. Get In Tennessee and turn on Why Did You Do It if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Getting Nowhere Fast sets the tone for the entire album. How Do You Do It is a bit of a show-tune. Let’s Get It On pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Tell Me Why is probably the highlight of the album. The first time I listened to I’m Going Home I was struck by its perfect sound.
