On Sweet Lovin’ Ol’ Soul album, Maria Muldaur have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Now signed to Maria Muldaur’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Sweet Lovin’ Ol’ Soul” leads Maria Muldaur’s back-to-school campaign. Sweet Lovin’ Ol’ Soul is an amazing album, racked with beauty. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Long As I Can See You Smile - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Strong, powerful vocals of Maria Muldaur in Sweet Lovin’ Ol’ Soul are very impressive. Ain’t What You Used To Have gives good insight into the truths. Lookin’ The World Over is a very catchy tune. I loved Empty Bed Blues the first time I heard it. Tricks Ain’t Walkin’ marked the continuation of Maria Muldaur in style evolution. Crazy Cryin’ Blues is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. She Put Me Outdoors - arguably the best track on Sweet Lovin’ Ol’ Soul album. It’s such an underrated song. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Take A Stand is my favorite song on Sweet Lovin’ Ol’ Soul.
