It’s natural for The Carpenters to take a stab at ‘Yesterday Once More’ considering her long-professed love for B.B. King. There were many famous songs of The Carpenters available. While no new The Carpenters album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2004 tour in Asia. The Carpenters “Gold: 35th Anniversary Edition (CD 2)” is an amazing album.
This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Voice and instruments in Hurting Each Other complement each other. I Need To Be In Love has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Song Merry Christmas, Darling is actually a funny song. Charming song, great melody. The Carpenters breathes new life into the music in All You Get From Love Is A Love Song. Excellent vocals and musical performances. The Carpenters has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Ticket To Ride - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. I like Goodbye To Love because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. I Just Fall In Love Again which is my favorite is a truly The Carpenters sounding song. I Believe You is simply perfect. Don’t judge Tryin’ To Get The Feeling Again on the first listening. For All We Know is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. So much energy, so exciting a sound.I Won’t Last A Day Without You very upbeat. Mr. Guder actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on The Carpenters’s face. This track is full of harmonies and gets Gold: 35th Anniversary Edition (CD 2) off to a relaxing start. Music in Karen’s Theme is exquisite as in all tracks of Gold: 35th Anniversary Edition (CD 2).
