This album has some very good songs like Abandoned ship bells and Away. Since Mum last CD (Summer Make Good (Promotional Edition)) on Capitol Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. Now signed to Mum’s Capitol Records, the title track from second album “Summer Make Good (Promotional Edition)” leads Mum’s back-to-school campaign. Exciting stuff.
This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Mum sings his heart out in Hu hviss - A ship. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Nightly cares, which shows, blatantly, how much Mum has evolved as a singer. Still going through Summer Make Good (Promotional Edition) and coming to appreciate Oh, how the boat drifts more and more with every listen. If you are a Mum fan, you will love Sing me out the window. Small deaths are the saddest - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. I can’t stop humming along Stir. A unique and uplifting song. After about the third The island of children’s children listen through, I began to believe this song is Mum’s essence. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Will the summer make good for all of our sins gives taste of what makes Mum special as a musician.
