Leo Ferre had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. There were many famous songs of Leo Ferre available. This disc has all of the essential Leo Ferre classics. L’affiche Rouge and Tu N’en Reviendras Pas is really good.
After you’ve listened to Tu N’en Reviendras Pas, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Est-Ce Ainsi Que Les Hommes Vivent ? as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Leo Ferre. Les Fourreurs stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Blues is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. L’etrangere is another favourite of mine. Leo Ferre must have run out of lyrics on the next track Je Chante Pour Passer Le Temps. Je T’aime Tant is one of the best records ever.
