fifteen years ago, Idina Menzel briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Larissa’s Lagoon”. It’s natural for Idina Menzel to take a stab at ‘Minuet’ considering her long-professed love for Led Zeppelin. ‘Still I Can’t Be Still’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Minuet and Larissa’s Lagoon is really good.
In Larissa’s Lagoon the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Follow If You Lead has a fun tempo. A fantastic track full of wonder. Still I Can’t Be Still - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Think Too Much stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Planet Z is the song that really did it for me. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. I like to sing along with Reach, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. I loved Straw Into Gold the first time I heard it. Heart On My Sleeve has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album.
