This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Gladys Knight and The Pips has. On the England charts, superstar Gladys Knight and The Pips’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This is what good R&B: Soul should be.
In Baby Don’t Change Your Mind full palet of sound is used by Gladys Knight and The Pips to accentuate the presentation. Where Peaceful Waters Flow which is my favorite is a truly Gladys Knight and The Pips sounding song. Music in Sorry Doesn’t Always Make It Right is marvelous as in all tracks of Love Songs. Every Beat of My Heart is the more seemingly obscure song on Love Songs that bear up best to repeated listening. Letter Full of Tears is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Come Back and Finish What You’ve Started is excellent work of Gladys Knight and The Pips. Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me (3:47) a good melody. I Feel a Song (In My Heart) is perfect. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Part Time Love on Love Songs is solid and easy to listen to. Nobody But You still maintains something of a specific flourish. So Sad the Song is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Way We Were/Try to Remember - a classic song.
