Jet Samba isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. ‘Jet Samba’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Jet Samba is an amazing album, racked with beauty.This is what good Jazz should be.
You can find feelings on this piece of art. The song feels complete. Lyrics of Campina Grande are precise and evocative. Album opener Adams Hotel is a bright, upbeat ditty. I think Brasil/Mexico is the best song Marcos Valle has ever done. Catedral is one of these floating songs. Vem - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. The opening track Previsao Do Tempo is very much like you would expect from other albums. Posto 9 is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. I find myself hearing bits of Esperando O Messias here and there throughout my waking hours. La Petite Valse is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Jet Samba.
