After debuting at No. 1 last week, Combichrist’s album Everybody Hates You (CD 1) falls to No. 2 with 785,000, a sales slide of 56%. It’s natural for Combichrist to take a stab at ‘This Shit Will Fuck You Up’ considering her long-professed love for UB40. thirteen years ago, Combichrist briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Enjoy The Abuse”. Combichrist “Everybody Hates You (CD 1)” is an amazing album.
Once you hear Enjoy The Abuse, you will listen to it over and over. Nice and different song. I’m Happy Anyway has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Combichrist’s strong vocals come to the fore. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Who’s Your Daddy, Snakegirl? is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Feed Your Anger is a striking and quite long song. God Bless gives taste of what makes Combichrist special as a musician. One listen to the sheer beauty of Like To Thank My Buddies was all I needed. Happy Fucking Birthday - Okay, I just talked about depth. There is marvelous mix of music in This Is My Rifle. Lying Sack Of Shit gets you up and jumping. Without Emotions is new, fresh, and hypnotizing.
