thirteen years ago, June Carter Cash briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Church In The Wildwood/Lonesome Valley”. June Carter Cash’s debut, ‘Church in the Wildwood’, does not fit easily into one genre. Lead single “Keep On The Sunnside” and “Church In The Wildwood/Lonesome Valley” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is what good Country should be.
Nice and different song. Music in The Far Side Banks Of Jordan is exquisite as in all tracks of Church in the Wildwood. Meeting In The Air is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Anchored In Love is probably one of June Carter Cash’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Hold Fast To The Right - A strong beat. Musically Diamonds In The Rough is superior to other tracks in Church in the Wildwood. A unique and uplifting song. The song Wings Of Angels ending is my favorite… so catchy! This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
