After debuting at No. 1 last week, Emil Bulls’s album The Southern Comfort falls to No. 2 with 531,000, a sales slide of 81%. Emil Bulls was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Emil Bulls and The Southern Comfort together. Since completing 2005’s ‘The Southern Comfort’, Emil Bulls fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Ignorance Is Bliss - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Newborn had me crying as I was able to relate so well. A Southern Lullaby is a bit of a show-tune. These Are The Ays is nothing but pure genius. Wolves presents the excellent mix of instruments on The Southern Comfort. Emil Bulls must have run out of lyrics on the next track At Fleischbergs. Magnificent Lies I just LOVE this mix! Simple and heartfelt closing track Mongoose closes The Southern Comfort on a high note. Bachham is probably one of Emil Bulls’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Charming song, great melody. Undeground has a fun tempo.
