For older fans Tibet - Nada Himalaya 2 will put a massive smile accross your face. Since Deuter last CD (Tibet - Nada Himalaya 2) on ForeFront Records back in 2005, I have felt a massive void in my life. Lead single “Yantra” and “Kailash” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is what good New Age should be.
It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Makalu is a strong cut, one of many. Khumbe is another favourite of mine. In Lhotse Deuter spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Chomolungma is really the reason why I recommend buying Tibet - Nada Himalaya 2. Nanga Parbat is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.
