eleven years ago, Volga briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “On The Hill”. Self-described as Ambient with lots of words, Volga comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. There is no doubt that Volga has talent. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is On The Hill
On The Hill is a very catchy tune. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. In Three Fields full palet of sound is used by Volga to accentuate the presentation. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Snowballs to me is the best you can get from Volga. Pear-Tree - Check out that bassline! By The Sea is one of these floating songs. This track is clearly meant to showcase Volga’s vocal abilities. Cry is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Such hits like Mass will leave you hooked. Song Screams is actually a funny song.
