Unleashed’s debut, ‘Sworn Allegiance’, does not fit easily into one genre. Unleashed had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. sixteen years ago, Unleashed briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Destruction (Of The Race Of Men)”. Another great offering from Unleashed.
Strong, powerful vocals of Unleashed in Destruction (Of The Race Of Men) are very impressive. Only The Dead as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. The Longships Are Coming is just simply stunning. Helljoy is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Sworn Allegiance have ended. Insane For Blood actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Unleashed’s face. Although I Bring You Death is very melodic it is far from sad. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Simple and heartfelt closing track CEO closes Sworn Allegiance on a high note. One Night In Nazareth is beautiful, yet underrated track. Praised Be The Lord - Check out that bassline! Metalheads is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Unleashed released so far. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Long Live The Beast is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
