This is one of the best Cd’s K-Maro has dropped to date. Since K-Maro last CD (Platinum Remixes) on Virgin Records back in 2006, I have felt a massive void in my life. ‘Platinum Remixes’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Rolling Down [Remix] is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. After few listenings I started to like Frs Existent Encore [Remix] more and more. After about the third Histoires de Luv [Remix] listen through, I began to believe this song is K-Maro’s essence. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Crazy [Remix] has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets K-Maro’s strong vocals come to the fore. Let’s Go is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. After you’ve listened to I Shine, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Femme Like U [Remix] is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Platinum Remixes have ended. Beautiful Bizness [Remix] actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on K-Maro’s face. Qu’est Ce Que Te Fout [Remix] good vocals. Gangsta Party [Remix] had me crying as I was able to relate so well. In K Ne Chante Plus [Remix] full palet of sound is used by K-Maro to accentuate the presentation. I like Viens Me Voir because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Million Dollar Boy [Remix] is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.
