Since completing 2005’s ‘Barbara Allen [Live]’, Marie Laforet fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Marie Laforet had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. For older fans Marie Chante Laforet will put a massive smile accross your face. Marie Chante Laforet constantly brilliant.

So much energy, so exciting a sound.La Berceuse [Live] is a bit different from Marie Laforet stereotypical stuff. Listening to L’Ami Pierrot [Live] you can hear that Marie Laforet has still amazing chemistry with band members. Charming song, great melody. Javas, Dentelles et Falbalas [Live] is the song that really did it for me. Marie Laforet emotions are reflected through J’ai le Coeur Gros du Temps Prisent [Live]. Ivan, Boris et Moi [Live] is probably the highlight of the album. Il a Neigi sur Yesterday [Live] - Okay, I just talked about depth. The opening track Genhve ou bien (Encore) [Live] is very much like you would expect from other albums. Album opener Dites-Lui [Live] is a bright, upbeat ditty. Bis Bald Marlhne [Live] is another favourite of mine. Les Vendanges de l’Amour (Encore) [Live] - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Marie Laforet. No Marie Laforet song has come close to capturing my attention as Maria Laya [Live] did. Once Mes Bouquets d’Asphodhles [Live] gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. The song feels complete. Pegao [Live] was the first single release from the album Marie Chante Laforet. You can find feelings on this piece of art. This track is clearly meant to showcase Marie Laforet’s vocal abilities. Some of the arrangements found on Marie Chante Laforet are surprisingly edgy.
