It’s natural for Lina to take a stab at ‘My Fix’ considering her long-professed love for UB40. Since Lina last CD (The Inner Beauty Movement) on Capitol Records back in 2005, I have felt a massive void in my life. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Lina energies, virtually a rebirth. One of Lina’s best albums yet.
The opening track Walking (Interlude) is very much like you would expect from other albums. Hope Wish and Pray is excellent and different song. This is one hell of a track. I believe Fly is one of the most perfect, heartfelt songs ever written. Music (Interlude) is a strong cut, one of many. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Run To Me is a very catchy tune. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Charming song, great melody. Come To Mama is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Get The Inner Beauty Movement and turn on This Time if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Never Forget (Interlude) is pretty funky and mellow. Smooth is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Story Goes (feat. Big Rube) is a bit different from Lina stereotypical stuff. This song stands out greatly from the others. Peace and Love is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Best song on the album, love it.
