Darzamat’s debut, ‘Semi Defilish’, does not fit easily into one genre. Since Darzamat last CD (Semi Defilish) on Blue Note Records back in 2005, I have felt a massive void in my life. On Semi Defilish album, Darzamat have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Darzamat ever.
This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Semi Defilish. Era Aggression is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Time Of Obscure Emotions pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Demise which is my favorite is a truly Darzamat sounding song. Absence Of Light - A classic Darzamat track. The Darkest One is nothing but pure genius. Dusk still maintains something of a specific flourish. Form Beyond is simple, dignified and effective, Darzamat refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. From the moment you listen to In Its Cobweb you’re hooked.
