After seeing Introlude, I had to have a good Tohoshinki cd. Self-described as Pop: Japan with lots of words, Tohoshinki comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. For older fans Heart, Mind and Soul will put a massive smile accross your face. Heart, Mind and Soul is not something you should pass up.
Tohoshinki is one of artists that allow his songs like kotoba haira nai to stand on their own and be heard. As always, Tohoshinki’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Somebody To Love is marvelous work of Tohoshinki. My Destiny is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Hug because the melody in the chorus is so good. Tohoshinki breathes new life into the music in Break Up The Shell. The sound of Stay With Me Tonight is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Best song on the album, love it. One one is one of the better boring ones. Rising Sun - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Once Eternal gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Heart, Mind And Soul is a great opener for Heart, Mind and Soul. Stay With Me Tonight (Accappella Ver) is a bit different from Tohoshinki stereotypical stuff. Somebody To Love (Accappella Ver) is another strong production from Tohoshinki. My Destiny (Accappella Ver) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Heart, Mind and Soul is Ashita wa Kuru kara(Accappella Ver).
